LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The Nebraska State Patrol says 37 pounds of methamphetamine worth an estimated street value of $829,000 has been seized in a traffic stop.

The patrol says the drugs were found Wednesday after a vehicle was stopped on Interstate 80 near Alda in central Nebraska.

The patrol says its troopers and the Central Nebraska Drug and Safe Streets Task Force were acting on a tip that a large shipment of drugs may be traveling through Nebraska.

Two California men, ages 26 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of possession of meth with intent to deliver.

A third man was questioned and released.
