Physicians’ Education Resource® to Present Evolutions in the Treatment and Management of Advanced Cervical Cancer: Leveraging the Immunosuppressive Microenvironment, Addressing Ongoing Clinical Needs
CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb 28, 2019--Physicians’ Education Resource® (PER®), a worldwide leading resource for oncology and hematology continuing medical education (CME), will conduct a live CME accredited activity entitled Evolutions in the Treatment and Management of Advanced Cervical Cancer: Leveraging the Immunosuppressive Microenvironment, Addressing Ongoing Clinical Needs as a satellite symposium adjunct to the Society of Gynecologic Oncology’s (SGO) 50 th Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer. The program will take place on Saturday, March 16, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu.
The educational program will be chaired by Bradley J. Monk, M.D., FACS, FACOG, a professor and director of the division of gynecologic oncology at Creighton University School of Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

The faculty will also cover a wide range of topics, including the current landscape of treatment options for patients with cervical cancer, recent advancements in the understanding of the tumor microenvironment and how this influences immune response, the evolving role of immunotherapeutic for cervical cancer and emerging biomarkers that may govern treatment selection for patients.
