Kennedy updates board on make-up days
The Ludington Area School District board of education on Monday discussed impact the consistently hazardous conditions and canceled school days will have on the remainder of the school year.
Superintendent Jason Kennedy provided the school board with an update regarding where the district stands in term of allotted snow days. Kennedy said the district canceled 11 days of instruction due to conditions outside its control.
The State School Act, Kennedy said, provides districts with six days of forgiven time — or the equivalent number of hours — that can be used when pupil instruction is canceled.
