Waupun Police Beat 12-18 to 12-20, 2018
Intoxicated subject — Tuesday at 2:38 p.m., police responded with EMS to North Grove Street at East Franklin Street for a man who had fallen down. Police made contact with a 44-year-old Waupun man who was extremely intoxicated. The man was transported to Waupun Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.
Drugs — Tuesday at 7:27 p.m., police conducted a drug investigation in the 1100 block of Rock Avenue. Charges of possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia are being referred to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office against a 35-year-old Waupun woman.
Probation hold — Wednesday at 8:52 a.m., police were requested by probation and parole to take custody of a 53-year-old Waupun man at the police department. As the man learned of this he ran from the police department and was soon apprehended as officers gave chase. The man was taken into custody on a probation hold, resisting and obstructing an officer, battery to law enforcement, disorderly conduct and escape.
Overdose — Wednesday at 12:38 p.m., police and EMS responded to a residence in the 1100 Rock Avenue for an overdose. A 20-year-old Waupun man was transported to Waupun Memorial Hospital. Probation and parole then placed a warrant for this man. The man was later transported to the Dodge County Jail.
Intoxicated driver — Wednesday at 12:15 p.m., police responded to a reckless driving complaint in which the vehicle was entering the city of Waupun. Police located the vehicle at East Main Street and North Madison Street. A traffic stop was conducted and a 48-year-old Waupun woman was taken into custody for operating while intoxicated — fourth offense and bail jumping. The woman was transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail.
Traffic stop — Wednesday at 11:49 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Pioneer Avenue at Ousterling Drive. A 25-year-old Kenosha woman was cited for operating after revocation. A 22-year-old Waupun man was cited for possession of controlled substances.
Hit-and-run — Thursday at 1:05 p.m., police responded to a parking lot in the 300 block of East Main Street for a hit and run crash. A black Ford Explorer was struck by an unknown vehicle.
