Zendesk: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ Zendesk Inc. (ZEN) on Tuesday reported a loss of $54.5 million in its second quarter.
On a per-share basis, the San Francisco-based company said it had a loss of 50 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 5 cents per share.
The results matched Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 11 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 5 cents per share.
The customer-service software maker posted revenue of $194.6 million in the period, exceeding Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $192.8 million.
Zendesk shares have increased 60% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $93.26, a climb of 68% in the last 12 months.
