HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) _ Adonal Foyle scored 23 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked nine shots to lead Colgate to a 66-56 victory over Yale Thursday night.

Foyle scored 13 first-half points to lead Colgate to a 37-35 lead at the break. Foyle scored the first basket of the game and on four occasions the Red Raiders held a 7-point lead.

Yale, behind 10 points from Charlie Petit's outside shooting, battled back. They took their only lead of the half, 33-31, on Petit's jumper with 2:44 left. Colgate responded with four points from Foyle and two from Ben Wandtke to take a 37-33 lead with 31 seconds left.

Colgate began the second half with a 13-4 run to take a 50-39 lead on Foyle's dunk with 13:09 remaining.

A 3-pointer by Mike Roberts gave Colgate their biggest lead, 55-44, with 7:55 left. A 3-pointer by Yale's Teddy Miller made it 55-46, but Brendan Touhey replied with a 3-pointer, and the lead was back to 12.

Colgate turnovers and Yale's outside shooting brought the Bulldogs to 63-55 with 52 seconds left, but Derek Hyra hit two free throws and Foyle added another to seal the victory.

Yale was led by Petit's 13 points.
