Sister Bees wins Momentum contest
Sister Bees won the $50,000 first-place prize at the fourth annual Momentum Business Plan Competition Friday evening.
The auditorium was packed at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts as five finalists competed in the contest, presenting their plans to expand their businesses and telling the judges how the prize money could further their entrepreneurial goals.
The other finalists included Cynthia Lang Pilates, HumaniTea, Leta’s Educational Child Care and The Lake House.
“The judges had a hard time tonight,” said one of the judges, John Wilson of Pennies from Heaven Foundation. “It’s fun to see the passion all five of these businesses bring ... It was a tough, tough decision.”
