Three Found Dead in Aurora, Colo.

September 11, 1998

AURORA, Colo. (AP) _ Three people were found shot to death and another seriously wounded Thursday night at an apartment just two miles from the scene of another killing spree in this Denver suburb earlier this week.

The victims were discovered about 7:25 p.m. at The Trails apartment complex. Police spokesman Bob Stef had few details on the latest slayings, but said police did not believe they were related to the shooting deaths of six people on Labor Day.

Police worked Thursday to build a case against the 17-year-old Aurora boy accused in the Labor Day slayings.

Investigators are expected to present their evidence against Alexander Pogosyan to prosecutors sometime Friday. Charges will be filed no later than Monday morning, said Michael Knight, a spokesman for the Arapahoe County district attorney’s office.

No decision has been made on whether to charge Pogosyan as an adult, Knight said. Pogosyan is being held without bond in a juvenile center.

Police have not determined the motive for the killing spree.
