District 22-6ABoysKingwood sweeps a pair of matchesThe cold and wind didn’t stop the Kingwood Boys soccer team from getting two wins last week in District 22-6A play.The Mustangs defeated Pasadena 3-0 at Veterans Memorial Stadium last Friday.Will Tucker, Noah Siega and Severin Kammerling each scored a goal for Kingwood.Chase Cherrington had all three assists for the Mustangs.Kingwood shutout Summer Creek 2-0 in their district match last Tuesday.Will Tucker scored a goal that was assisted by Braden Morrison. The other goal was an own-goal by Summer Creek.Atascocita splits a pair of matchesAtascocita shutout Summer Creek 4-0 Friday night for it’s only win last week in district play.Kris Fernandez scored two goals to lead the Eagles.Pedro Salinas Orozco and Ethan Fierro also scored a goal for the Eagles.Atascocita lost a 3-1 decision to Dobie last Tuesday.Orozco scored the lone goal for the Eagles.Humble shuts out PasadenaHumble won its only match last week after a 4-0 shutout of Pasadena.Four different Wildcats scored a goal.Christian Solorzano, Gerado Martinez, Angel Beltran, Kevin Contreras eached kicked the ball in the back of the net for the Wildcats.Solorzano, Jesus Salazar, Marcus Deleon and Angel Beltran each had a assists for Humble.GirlsDistrict 20-5AKingwood Park remains undefeated in districtAllie Byrd scored three goals and had one assist as Kingwood Park defeated Willis 7-0 last Friday night in District 20-5A play.Jacqui Daspit scored two goals and Michelle Perri and Belia Salazar scored one goal apiece.Katherine Tiedtke had two assists to lead the Lady Panthers and Samantha Valadez added one assist.K-Park also rallied to defeat Porter 3-1 on Tuesday night.The Lady Panthers trailed Porter 1-0 at the end of the first half, but scored three goals in the second half to pull out the win.Daspit, Bailey Schoener abd Bella Salazar scored a goal for K-Park.Taylor Debrosky, Makenna Florez and Tiedtke each had an assist for the Lady Panthers.District 22-6AKingwood picks up two shutout district winsKingwood won both of its District 22-6A games last week in shutout fashion.Kingwood battled through the cold weather last Friday night and shutout Pasadena 5-0.Emma Ebert scored a goal while adding two assists for the Lady Mustangs.Alex Dumais, Elle Smith, Jenelle Dumais and Savannah Moore each added a goal for Kingwood.Cadyn Hulse also had an assist.Moore scored three goals as Kingwood shutout Summer Creek 7-0 last Tuesday.Ebbert kicked the ball in the back of the net twice and added an assist.Hulse and Alex Dumais scored a goal apiece for the Lady Mustangs.Catherine Childs Smith each had one assist while Isabel Shanahan had two assists.Atascocita picks up shutout winHaylli Rose scored two goals as shutout Summer Creek 5-0 last Friday.Madison Taylor, Nia Musquiz and Alyssandra Sanchez each added a goal for the Lady Eagles.Atascocita tied Dobie 1-1 with a goal from Nia Rampersad.Coaches can email stats to our sports writer Marcus Gutierrez at marcus.gutierrez@chron.commarcus.gutierrez@chron.comTwitter: @MarcG14Line
