Diminutive, older woman suspected of 2 bank robberies
SOMERVILLE, Mass. (AP) — Somerville police are looking for a woman who may be as old as 70 who’s suspected of robbing two banks in the city.
Police say the woman between 4-feet, 5 inches and 5-feet, 1-inch tall and no more than 110 pounds is suspected of robbing the Community Credit Union in Davis Square on Tuesday.
The same woman is suspected of robbing a Citizens Bank branch in Davis Square on May 13.
In the latter robbery, she wore what appeared to be a man’s three-piece suit, including a necktie and fedora.
Police think she is between 40 and 70 years of age and appears to walk with a limp.
The state Bankers Association has issued a reward for information leading to her capture.
