Snowstorm Postpones High-profile Talk at Shirley’s Bull Run
A Sun Staff Report
SHIRLEY -- The snowstorm forecast for this weekend has forced the postponement of David Hogg’s presentation at the Bull Run Restaurant. Hogg is a student who survived the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida and went on to become an author and activist.
Hogg’s presentation has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 3 at noon. The event is sold out.
The shooting on Feb. 14, 2018 in the community of Parkland was the largest school shooting in American history. A gunman opened fire inside the school, killing 17 students and staff members and injuring 17 others. The shooting sparked a national debate about gun rights and gun-violence prevention.
