City library board OKs latest RFP
The Watertown Library Board of Trustees approved the recommendation from its building and grounds committee to move forward with sending out a request for proposals for a construction manager for the Watertown Public Library expansion project.
Board President Jonathan Lampe said city Attorney Rose Simon-Silva has weighed in on a couple of issues and brought it to the board’s attention.
As for now, the board and the city attorney are reviewing the template for the request for a proposal.
“We did have another discussion with the architect regarding embedding the construction manager in the process,” Lampe said.
The board is in the process of updating the architect contract with Rick McCarthy of Studio GC to include a construction manager.
Studio GC is an architecture design firm based in Chicago and has been helping the library with its expansion since the beginning.
