Crash Kills Seven Teens In One Car
CADIZ, Ky. (AP) _ An auto accident killed seven teen-agers who were riding in a car together on their dinner break from work Wednesday, authorities said.
The youths, high school students ages 15 to 17, worked at Knight & Hale Game Calls Products Inc. Coroner John Vinson said they were on their dinner break and were apparently on their way back to work.
The teens’ car apparently crossed the center line and collided with a four- wheel-drive vehicle, state police Trooper Chuck Robertson said. The other vehicle’s driver suffered minor injuries, he said.
Robertson said alcohol was not a factor. It was unclear whether any of the youths were wearing seatbelts but Robertson said the other vehicle’s driver was.
Cadiz is in western Kentucky, about 200 miles southwest of Louisville.
