1st New Zealand-West Indies test ends in draw

DUNEDIN, New Zealand (AP) — The first test between New Zealand and the West Indies ended in a draw Saturday when rain washed out play after tea on the final day. New Zealand was 79-4, chasing 112.

West Indies 1st innings: 213 (Shivnarine Chanderpaul 76; Tim Southee 4-52, Trent Boult 3-40).

West Indies 2nd innings: 507 (Darren Bravo 218, Darren Sammy 80, Kirk Edwards 59, Narsingh Deonarine 52; Neil Wagner 3-112).
