PREP SCHOOL-SEXUAL ABUSE

CONCORD, N.H. _ A New Hampshire prep school graduate convicted of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old classmate in 2015 is asking a judge to suspend the remainder of his one-year jail sentence. A jury found Owen Labrie guilty of misdemeanor sexual assault charges and endangering the welfare of a child. The St. Paul’s School graduate also was convicted of using a computer to lure an underage student for sex, requiring him to register as a sex offender. By Michael Casey. SENT: 130 words. COMEBACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Kent State receiver Antwan Dixon, Dartmouth defensive lineman Seth Simmer and Carson-Newman running back Antonio Wimbush are the first recipients of the Mayo Clinic college football Comeback Player of the Year Award. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE-DEATH: Police in New Hampshire say they are investigating an apparent act of domestic violence that resulted in a fatality.

CHINESE TOURISTS-SEX TRAFFICKING: A New Hampshire husband and wife accused of using Chinese nationals in a sex-trafficking operation in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont are going to be detained until at least next week.

POLICE RECRUIT-THREATS: A police recruit accused of threatening to kill fellow officers at his graduation ceremony has been released on bail on conditions that include staying out of New Hampshire.

OFFICER DEATH: A judge has sentenced a teen to prison for his role in a crash in New Hampshire that killed an off-duty Massachusetts police officer.
