Items taken from trailer
State police are investigating the burglary of an abandoned trailer along Watson Avenue in Jenner Township that is also being investigated for a recent arson.
The burglary could have taken place during a six-month period that ended Sunday, according to police. Tools, household goods and a utility trailer were allegedly taken, police said.
The unoccupied trailer caught fire on the night of Jan. 4. The blaze is considered suspicious. No one was injured.
Police identified Joseph Hackwelder, of Acosta, as the victim of the burglary.

Police probing theft
Someone accessed Penny Hughes’ bank account and issued fraudulent checks totaling $1,539 in November, according to state police. Hughes lives in Southampton Township.
