DNC’s Rae to speak in Jefferson March 31

March 22, 2019

JEFFERSON -- The public is invited to attend the Victory Expressway Heritage Dinner sponsored by the Democratic Parties of Jefferson and Waukesha counties on March 31, at Neighbors Bar & Grill, 216 Golf Drive, Jefferson.

The keynote speaker is Jason Rae, secretary to the Democratic National Committee since 2017.

Rae, a lifelong Democrat, grew up in Barron County, attending county party meetings on bicycle before he could drive. He was first elected to the DNC in 2004 at age 17 and has been re-elected three times.

The Victory Expressway Heritage Dinner is an event to celebrate the progressive tradition of Waukesha and Jefferson counties and to recognize new leaders.

Awards will be presented to Waukesha County Chairman Matt Lowe and to three area high school students who were pivotal in organizing for elections in 2018.

A silent auction will include Ephraim Pottery and more. There will be a display of historical political memorabilia highlighting Wisconsin, courtesy of Tom Kitchen of Fond du Lac.

A reception begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by dinner and program at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $35 and must be purchased in advance.
