LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) _ Craig Kusick threw two touchdown passes as Wisconsin-La Crosse beat Wisconsin-River Falls 28-14 in the NCAA Division III quarterfinals Saturday.

La Crosse (12-0) advances against Mount Union of Ohio (12-0) in the semifinals next Saturday.

The Eagles led River Falls 14-0 at intermission on one-yard first-quarter scoring runs by Jason Tarkowski and Trevor Rogers.

Quarterback Adam Kowles scored on a two-yard run for River Falls (9-3) in the final quarter.

Kusick followed with touchdown passes of 5 and 23 yards to Troy Harcey.

Kusick completed 21 of 30 passes for 263 yards. Harcey caught eight of the passes for 122 yards.

La Crosse played without two players who were suspended after failing NCAA drug tests following last weekend’s first-round 45-7 victory over Concordia-Moorhead.
