Western Journalists Hurt in Kosovo
BELGRADE, Yugoslavia (AP) _ A NATO missile attack in Kosovo hit near a convoy of Western journalists Sunday, killing a driver and wounding a Times of London reporter and two others, the Serb-run Media Center in Pristina said.
The Times reporter was identified as Eve-Ann Prentice. Also wounded was an unidentified reporter from the Italian Corriere della Sera newspaper and a Frenchman. The slain driver was identified as Nebojsa Radojevic, 28.
The Times said Prentice is a British national and staff journalist, but said they had no details about the incident.
The extent of the injuries was not immediately clear, but the center said the wounded were taken to the Prizren hospital.
A Portuguese television crew also was traveling in the two vehicle convoy.
The incident occurred at 4:30 p.m. in the village of Rekane, six miles from Prizren, a city 40 miles southwest of Pristina.
