No. 22 Colorado 88, Texas A&M 70

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) _ Jenny Roulier scored 24 points, including six 3-pointers, and Mandy Nightingale added 23 points as No. 22 Colorado beat Texas A&M 88-70 Saturday.

Nightingale was 10-for-11 on free throws and had eight rebounds for Colorado (13-6, 3-3 Big 12 Conference), which beat Texas A&M (10-7, 2-3) for the eighth straight time.

LaToya Rose led Texas A&M with 19 points. Toccara Wiliams had 17 points, and Kim Moore added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Aggies, who last beat Colorado on Jan. 6, 1992.

Colorado took control with Sabrina Scott scoring eight points in a 10-0 run to start the second half to lead 52-41. Texas A&M closed the gap to 61-54 with 11:41 after two baskets off turnovers by Williams and a rebound basket by Rhonda Cooper.

Roulier hit two 3-pointers and a jump shot in a 14-3 run to put Colorado ahead 74-57. Rose’s 3-pointer and a free throw by Meg Banahan got Texas A&M within 76-62 with 4:17 left, but Colorado pulled away with a 3-pointer and two free throws from Nightingale.

Nightingale made two free throws in the last 5 seconds of the half to give Colorado a 42-41 lead at the break. The taller Buffaloes held a 25-9 rebounding edge in the first 20 minutes, but Texas A&M stayed close with its quickness and 13 points from Williams.
