Playa Hotels: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) _ Playa Hotels & Resorts NV (PLYA) on Monday reported second-quarter net income of $16.8 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Fairfax, Virginia-based company said it had profit of 14 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 11 cents per share.
The developer and operator of all-inclusive resorts posted revenue of $145.6 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $144.9 million.
Playa Hotels shares have dropped nearly 5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $10.27, a drop of 14 percent in the last 12 months.
