October 6, 2018

HURRICANE, W.Va. — River Ridge Church in Teays Valley will host Ron Deal, a leading expert on step-families, for a two-day conference in November.

Bringing up kids is hard enough, but parents of blended families deal with a different set of frustrations. As an author and licensed marriage and family therapist, Deal understands the unique challenges facing step-families.

With over 30 years experience counseling step-families, he provides practical insight and solutions to raising a healthy family and building a re-marriage that lasts.

The conference at River Ridge, set for 7-9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 and 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, is designed to help blended families succeed. Childcare is available during the conference.

This event is open to couples, married or dating, as well as singles who may want a head start on what to expect if they find themselves remarried down the road.
