Norfolk man arrested after brief pursuit
STANTON - A brief pursuit led to an arrest of a Norfolk man Saturday night.
According to Sheriff Mike Unger, the Stanton County Sheriff’s office arrested 29-year-old Joshua Deiterman after he was clocked speeding, travelling east at 99mph in the 70mph zone on Highway 275 just east of Norfolk in a pickup.
He attempted to flee north onto a county road and then entered private property and became disabled after nearly driving off a large dirt embankment.
Deiterman was arrested on charges of Speeding, Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving and Operating a Motor Vehicle to Avoid Arrest.
He was jailed pending the posting of a bond and a passenger was cited for an alcohol violation.
