Kluver finishes tied for fifth at Junior PGA Championship

Luke Kluver, a senior-to-be at Norfolk High School, finished tied for fifth at the 43rd annual Junior PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Ky.

Kluver, who was the halfway leader when the tournament was cut to 70 player from the 144 participants, finished with a four-day total 281 (67-70-74-70).

Askshay Bhatia of Wake Forest, N.C., successfully defended his 2017 title, by finishing at 277, one stroke ahead of Tommy Stephenson of Carlsbad, Calif., who turned in the low final-round score of 66.

Following award presentations, five boys were to be named to the 12-player co-ed 2018 U.S. Junior Ryder Cup Team in Paris next month.
