KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Pitchers Steve Farr and David Cone have signed one-year contracts with the Kansas City Royals, the club announced Thursday.

Farr, a right-handed reliever, was 8-4 with eight saves and a 3.13 earned run average for the Royals last year, his first full season in the majors.

Cone, also right-handed and a reliever, spent most of the season with the Royals' Omaha farm club, where he had an 8-4 record 2.79 ERA. He was called up to Kansas City for two stints, appearing in 11 games with no decisions.

The signing of Farr and Cone leaves four players still to come to terms with the Royals. They are pitcher Danny Jackson, outfielder Danny Tartabull, third baseman Louis Delos Santos and infielder-outfielder Kevin Seitzer.
