Hummel Road home broken into; man arrested after police catch him with marijuana: Brook Park Police Blotter

BROOK PARK, Ohio -- Burglary, Hummel Road: A.38-caliber revolver might have been stolen at about 1 p.m. Oct. 26 from a home.

Someone forced open a rear door to enter the house. Police didn’t say if anyone was home at the time of the burglary. Police were unable to confirm whether the weapon was actually stolen.

Marijuana possession, West 130th Street-Interstate 480: A male suspect was either cited or arrested at about 10:15 p.m. Nov. 4 after police caught him in possession of marijuana.

Police had stopped the man’s car for speeding and impeding the flow of traffic. Police didn’t provide additional details.

Criminal simulation, Smith Road: An unidentified male suspect tried to pass a counterfeit $50 bill at about 11 p.m. Nov. 1 at Shell, 5918 Smith. Further details were unavailable.

Theft, Snow Road: Police are looking for a known male suspect who pumped gasoline into his vehicle and left without paying at GetGo, 14600 Snow.

The man committed the crime twice, once at about 4:20 p.m. Oct. 21. Police didn’t say when it happened the second time. It wasn’t clear how the man was able to pump gas without using a prepay card or first paying the cashier.

Violation of temporary protection order, Liberty Bell Drive: A Liberty Bell couple called police at about 4:50 p.m. Oct. 25 and said that a neighbor had violated a temporary protection order by coming within 50 feet of them.

The couple said the neighbor had also harassed them by throwing breadcrumbs into a yard in front of their condominium. Further details were unavailable.
