Two injured in Thanksgiving crash

Two 21-year-old Darrington residents were injured early Thursday morning in a one-vehicle collision.

According to a news release from the State Patrol, a man was driving east about 2 a.m. in a 2013 Jeep Wrangler on Highway 530 about 3 miles north of Darrington when he allegedly drifted off the road to the right, over-corrected and crashed into several trees.

He was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment of his injuries.

His female passenger was also injured and was transported to Cascade Hospital.

Charges against the driver are pending, the release states.
