WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Maurice Evans scored the final six points in overtime and Jason Perez had 15 points to lead Wichita State past William & Mary 76-74 in the first-round of the Cessna Classic Sunday night.

Wichita State (4-7) moves to the championship game Monday against the winner of a late game Sunday between Texas Southern and Buffalo.

Regulation ended at a 67-67 tie.

William & Mary (4-3) had opened the overtime by grabbing a 72-67 lead, but Wichita State took over.

Evans hit a field goal and a freethrow, and blocked a 3-pointer by Randy Bracy with only :01 left.

Bracy scored a game-high 32 points, with five of William & Mary’s seven OT points.

The two teams combined for a total of 55 personal fouls, 31 turnovers and a combined 43-of-72 freethrows.

Darrin Williams had 14 points for Wichita State, while Roosevelt Overstreet added 12 and Terry Hankton 11.

Bill Phillips scored 12 points and Terence Jennings added 11 for William & Mary.
