YWCA Stand Against Racism set

The YWCA of Kankakee is taking a Stand Against Racism from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23 at the Kankakee Public Library fourth floor auditorium.

Stand Against Racism is a signature campaign of YWCA USA to build community among those who work for racial justice and to raise awareness about the negative impact of institutional and structural racism.

There will be a screening of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s 1963 “Letter from Birmingham Jail.’’ Lunch will be provided at no charge. RSVP by Monday, May 20 by emailing ywcakank1907@att.net or calling 815-933-4516.
