JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) — Authorities in New Jersey are searching for the suspects who vandalized a park fountain.

The Jersey Journal reports a cast-iron fountain in Jersey City’s Hamilton Park was pushed over Sunday night. Municipal workers removed the fountain Monday morning.

City spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione says the city has to determine if the fountain can be repaired.

Hamilton Parks Neighborhood Association treasurer Elna Mukaida says residents are frustrated.

The park received $3.2 million in renovations in 2010. Improvements included a new playground, tennis and basketball courts and a community garden.
