New Israeli burger chain now has 3 S.A. locations
As quick as you can flip a burger, San Antonio’s been swarmed with franchises of an Israeli restaurant chain. Burgerim — the name, in Hebrew, is the plural form of “burger” — has three restaurants now serving the community with two more to come soon.
The first opened in July at North Star Mall followed by an outlet at Ingram Park Mall in August. A standalone store joined the burger bash in late September in the Park North Shopping Center. Next week, the fourth will debut at Rolling Oaks Mall, with a fifth to come at an undetermined date on La Cantera Parkway near The Rim.
Burgerim specializes in small, slider-style burgers. Customers can build burgers from nearly a dozen types of patty, several styles of bun, and numerous sauces and toppings. Burgerim was launched 2011 in Tel Aviv and has rapidly expanded, with more than 200 locations worldwide.
