Harte Hanks To Lay Off 28 In Hanover Twp.

May 1, 2019

Marketing services company Harte Hanks will lay off 28 people at its facility at 165 New Commerce Blvd., Hanover Twp.

The company announced the workers will lose their jobs beginning June 8, according to a WARN notice filed with the state Department of Labor & Industry.

Efforts to reach a human resources official with Harte Hanks were not successful on Tuesday. It was not immediately known how many people work at the Hanover Twp. facility.

The San Antonio-based Harte Hanks recently announced 73 people will lose their jobs at a Texarkana location. It was the second round of layoffs at that location in 14 months. Last year, the company previously announced more than 400 employees there would be laid off because of changes in the services the company provides to a client.

Harte Hanks was formerly known as a call center but it is now referred to as a contact center, which handles emails, chats and social media as well. According to its website, the company has 21 offices worldwide.
