Average age in New Hampshire House drops to 61
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — The New Hampshire House is a getting a bit younger.
The House Clerk says the average age for the next two-year session will be 61. That’s based on responses from 390 of the 400 incoming House members,
New Hampshire Public Radio reports that will be a year younger than it was last session, and five years younger than the session before that.
About one in four members is over the age of 70. The largest age group, with 157 members, is those ages 60 to 69. The youngest House member is 19. The oldest is 92.
