Devils destroy Bulldogs 48-6

MOHAVE VALLEY — Dust Devils junior quarterback Seth Christy tossed one TD pass and added two TD runs to lead River Valley High School to its 48-6 Homecoming triumph over the Kingman High School Bulldogs on Friday.

Christy’s 22-yard TD run made it 6-0 with 5:03 left in the first quarter during the Arizona Interscholastic Association 3A West Region football game.

Sophomore running back Richard Vega’s 2-yard TD run with 2:23 left in the second period made it 12-0, Vega’s 1-yard TD run made it 19-0 at 2:23 and Christy’s 3-yard TD pass to Logan Knox made it 26-0 at 43.6 seconds.

Christy’s 6-yard TD run made it 32-0 with 7:03 left in the third quarter, Cole Shott’s 10-yard TD run made it 40-0 at 3:25 and and Evan Oehler’s 1-yard TD run made it 48-0 with 6:30 left in the fourth period.

Kingman’s Daniel Dias’ 64-yard catch-and-run TD spoiled the Dust Devils’ shutout bid at 45 seconds.

The Dust Devils’ record is 2-4 overall, 2-0 in region, and the Bulldogs’ record is 3-3 overall, 0-1 in region.
