Entire West Side of Cleveland out of power, officials say

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Half of Cleveland lost power on Saturday, according to Cleveland Public Power.

The public utility agency said that a main power line that feeds the entire West Side of Cleveland went down, causing a large-scale power outage.

Cleveland Public Power said their customers are fed by First Energy’s Cleveland Electric Illuminating company.

CPP said in a statement on their Facebook page that CEI has said they are working on the outage and hope “to get power restored as quickly as possible.”
