Former Obama speechwriter to speak at Harvard
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government is hosting an event about presidential speechwriting that will feature a former member of President Barack Obama’s team.
Harvard says Jon Favreau, who until recently was Obama’s chief speechwriter, will address the Wednesday evening forum at the school.
The 2003 graduate of College of the Holy Cross was an intern in John Kerry’s office before working for Obama for nearly a decade.
Professor David Gergen, director of the school’s Center for Public Leadership, also will participate in the discussion about the language and legacy of presidential speechwriting.
The event starts at 6 p.m. and will have a live webcast.
