Security guard at 9/11 Memorial admits to trafficking guns
NEW YORK (AP) — A security guard at the National September 11 Memorial has admitted to trafficking more than 25 illegal firearms into lower Manhattan from outside of the city.
Prosecutors say 29-year-old Maquan Moore pleaded guilty to one count of firearm trafficking Monday. WABC-TV reports Moore has been accused of selling the illegal firearms to undercover U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents.
Prosecutors say at least four of the weapons were purchased in Florida in December.
Moore could face five to 10 years in prison.
