Clyde ‘Howard’ Lott

Clyde “Howard” Lott, 75, of Limestone, passed away Tuesday (Dec. 25, 2018) at his home.

He was born Dec. 23, 1943, in Cherryville, N.C., the son of Eugene Offie and Marie Carroll Lott. Howard married Kathy Witheft Vasquez on May 26, 1984 at Kankakee River State Park.

Howard worked in maintenance at Crown Cork & Seal.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served from 1960 until 1963.

Howard enjoyed golfing and fishing. He especially loved watching his grandkids play sports.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy Lott, of Limestone; two sons, Tony Lott, of Kankakee, and Howard J. Lott, of Bradley; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tanya and Bill Fleischauer, of Limestone, and Christine Lott, of Kankakee; five grandchildren, McKenzie and Nate Lott, Caleb and Zoey Fleischauer and Taylor Woodworth; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Bobby and Becky Carroll, of Cherryville, and Albert and Arlene Lott, of Tega Cay, S.C.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Merle and Judy Witheft, of Buckingham; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Tom Jensen, of Herscher; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Duane and Edna Witheft.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home in Kankakee. The Rev. Scott Henley will officiate. Burial will follow in Limestone Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family or Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
