Allergan Forms Joint Venture in India
Undated (AP) _ Allergan Inc. and Nicholas Piramal India Ltd. said Monday they have formed a joint venture to make and market eye care products in India.
Terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
Nicholas, a member of the Piramal Group, will use its factory in Indore, India, to manufacture products on a contract basis for the joint venture.
The Piramal Group is a Bombay, India-based conglomerate that manufactures health care products, textiles, electronics, and automotive components.
Allergan, with headquarters in Irvine, Calif., develops therapeutic products for eye and skin care and neuromuscular disorders.
