Woman killed in crash
JOHNSON CREEK -- A 43-year-old Oak Creek woman was killed Tuesday when the SUV in which she was the front seat passenger collided with a semi-truck in Johnson Creek.
According to the sheriff’s department, Lisa Guerrero-Terrazas died as a result of the impact that occurred Tuesday at 3:12 p.m. in the area of State Highway 26 and Linmar Lane in the Village of Johnson Creek.
“The preliminary investigation shows an SUV traveling westbound on Linmar Lane was attempting to turn southbound onto State Highway 26 when it collided with a semi-truck traveling southbound on State Highway 26,” a media release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department stated. ”(Guerrero-Terrazas), a passenger in the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene. Other occupants of the vehicles were transported to area hospitals due to injuries sustained in the crash.”
Chad Garcia of sheriff’s department said there were two adults in the front seat of the SUV and three children in the back seat.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene, as well as the Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Assisting at the crash scene were the Wisconsin State Patrol, Johnson Creek Police Department, Johnson Creek Fire and EMS, Watertown EMS, Lake Mills EMS, Med-Flight, Flight For Life and the Jefferson County Emergency Communications unit.
