Idaho 33, Boise St. 13

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) _ Senior quarterback Eric Hisaw completed 18 of 23 passes for 282 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions to lead the 25th-ranked Idaho Vandals to a 33-13 win over 16-ranked Boise State Saturday.

The win established a school record for longest home winning streak at 13 games for the Vandals.

Idaho improves to 6-4 overall and 4-3 in the Big Sky Conference. Boise State falls to 7-4 overall and 4-3 in the conference.

The Broncos had just 69 yards rushing on 35 carries while Idaho had 126 yards on 34 carries.

Boise State tied the score at 3-3 on a Greg Erickson field goal with 12:21 left in the second quarter. Idaho then scored the next 17 points to lead 20-3 with 1:02 left in the third quarter. The Broncos got to within 20-10 after converting an Idaho fumbled punt return into an eventual two-yard touchdown run by Boise State quarterback Tony Hilde with 25 seconds left in the third quarter.

Idaho then marched 82 yards in 10 plays with Hisaw tossing his third touchdown pass to tight end Avery Griggs from nine yards out to increase the lead to 26-10. The Broncos had to settle for a field goal on the next drive when the Vandal defense held on their own 23 yard line.
