MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) _ Alcede Surtain ran for three touchdowns and passed for another as Alabama State beat Tuskegee 58-20 Thursday in the 72nd annual Turkey Day Classic.

The game began to fall apart for Tuskegee (2-9) on its first possession, when Errol Wilkerson’s punt was blocked and recovered at the 50. The Alabama State drive stalled, but an intentional grounding penalty left Tuskegee fourth-and-40 on the ensuing possession.

After the punt, Alabama State (7-3-1) took over at the Tuskegee 5-yard line, setting up Surtain’s first rushing touchdown.

Corey Redden pitched in with a 45-yard fumble recovery and Antonio Parker ran in a 24-yard TD on his way to a 104-yard day out of the backfield. Roder Studaway scored two touchdowns including a 48-yard run.

Tuskegee’s Derek Patterson scored on a 71-yard pass from Page Dennis in the second quarter. Dennis had one other TD pass, a 3-yarder to Marcus Ervin, and rushed for a score.
