Potential witness sought in case of missing 8-month-old

January 9, 2019

San Antonio police are looking for a possible witness in the case of an 8-month-old boy whose disappearance Friday was determined by police to be a staged kidnapping.

Savannah Ozuna may have information in the case of King Jay Davila, according to SAPD.

Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ozuna to call 911 or 210-207-7273.

King Jay was reported missing at 7 p.m. Friday after his father, Christopher Davila, 34, reported that his car and his son were taken from a convenience store on the West Side.

Investigators later determined that the incident was staged with help from Davila’s cousin Angie Torres.

Torres took the Dodge Dart that Davila left at the gas station and drove it tan intersection near Rodriguez Park, police said, where she left it and was seen walking away with an empty car seat.

Davila was arrested that night and charged with child endangerment. He posted bond and was released from jail Sunday, according to court records.

Torres, 45, was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated robbery in an unrelated incident. She was still in jail as of Tuesday.

Chief William McManus said Monday that the kidnapping was staged to hide foul play.
