FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) _ Felix Brillant and Clint Dempsey scored early in the second half to lead the New England Revolution to a 2-1 win over the MetroStars on Saturday night.

The Revolution (3-7-3) snapped a three-match losing streak and ended a two-game winning streak for the MetroStars (5-4-4).

New England took the lead on a goal by Brillant in the 64th minute. Dempsey scored his fourth goal of the season in the 67th minute. Passes from midfielder Patrick Noonan fed both goals.

For the MetroStars, Amado Guevara converted a penalty kick in the 90th minute after New England goalie Matt Reis took down Mike MaGee on a loose ball in the penalty box.

The MetroStars nearly tied the match in stoppage time, but Ricardo Clark's header sailed wide.
