Katrina Elkins, of South Point, Ohio, hits the dance floor with her son, Gavin Ferguson, 7, during last year's Mom & Son Prom. This year's event is scheduled for March 9 at the Pullman Grand Ballroom.

HUNTINGTON — The Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District announces the future details as they plan on hosting two family fun events. These dances include a Father Daughter Valentine Dance and the Mom and Son Prom.

The Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District invites all Dads and Daughters to a evening of dancing the night away. The Father Daughter Valentine Dance will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Pullman Plaza Hotel on Saturday, Feb. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Following the Father Daughter Valentine Dance, moms and sons can get dressed in their best and pin on the boutonnieres as the GHPRD hosts the The Mom and Son Prom. This event is scheduled to be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Pullman Plaza Hotel on Saturday, March 9, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Guests at both events will have the chance to enjoy an evening filled with dancing to music by DJ Chad Midkiff of “DCM Pro Events.” Sweet treats include fruit, cookies, cupcakes and ever flowing-favorite chocolate fountain.

A “Picture Perfect Photo Booth” is planned to to help guests commemorate the special evening with personalized event photos.

At the end of the evening, each female guest will receive a rose from the GHPRD Executive Director Kevin Brady.
