CLEVELAND, Ohio (AP) _ James Madison scored 20 points to lead Cleveland State's 69-61 victory over Youngstown State Tuesday night, snapping a four-game losing streak.

Willie Spellman scored 13 points top pace the Penguins.

The Vikings (2-5) went ahead 14-13 nearly halfway through the first half when Madison hit one of his the three 3-pointers, and they maintained the lead the rest of the way.

The Penguins (1-5) made several runs to keep the game tight and dominated the rebounding, 41-30. But Youngstown State had a cold hand from beyond the 3-point arc the whole game, missing all 13 attempts from long range.

Cleveland State's Malcolm Sims produced 10 of his 13 points by halftime, as the Vikings lead 31-29.

Anthony Hunt sank two free throws early in the second half for Youngstown State to make it 34-33. But Madison hit a jumper and two free throw to start an 11-2 run that proved to be decisive. Leonidas Skoutaris and Eric Nichelson hit 3-pointers in the run.

The Penguins fought back to trail 61-57 when Hunt made two more free throws with 2:38 left. But Michael Bowens made a layup and Christopher Dames added a jumper to give Cleveland State a safe margin.
