Farmers Market returns to Community Park this weekend
BULLHEAD CITY — Organizers of the Bullhead City Farmers Market are preparing for the first market day of the season: Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Community Park, 1251 Highway 95.
Bonnie Tarloff, the event director, “puts the best quality market together she can,” said Vanette Schnitz, marketing manager.
During last season’s final market day on May 5, Tarloff said it turned out to be “an awesome year.”
Schnitz described the market as a place where someone can “order a wedding cake, pick up unique salad dressing and arrange to purchase custom makeup.”
Other items for sale at the market include baked goods, salsas, mustards, honey, handmade soaps and lotions, arts and crafts specialties, jewelry and home decor pieces by local artisans.
Many of last year’s vendors will be back this year.
“We pride ourselves for being a place for entrepreneurs,” Schnitz said.
She also pointed to the market as being a place where shoppers can buy items from a variety of vendors and purchase farm-fresh produce.
Sellers will have less trouble getting in and out of the park with new directional signs and an industrial rubber ramp situated on the north end of the facility.
Shoppers can buy food to eat at the park, such as sandwiches from “The Hut” as well as coffee and shaved ice treats from “Shiver River.” Children can play in bounce houses and eat cotton candy.
The second market day will be Saturday, Nov. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Holiday Extravaganza will be in the Bullhead City Chamber of Commerce.
The other Market Saturdays in Community Park will be Feb. 2, March 9, April 6 and May 4.
Parking and admission to the markets are free.
