Police Investigating Suspicious Death In Kingston

KINGSTON — One person is in custody and police are investigating a suspicious death after responding to a home on Price Street on Saturday morning.

According to police, officers responded to a call of a possibly deceased female at 71 Price St. As officers arrived, they encountered the resident of the first floor of that residence, Dana Ganjeh.

Police said they then discovered the body of Linda I. Frick, 56, covered with a blanket in a vehicle parked at the rear of the residence.

Police said Ganjeh was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and simple assault, but offered no other information about his arrest. He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Thomas Malloy, who denied bail after determining Ganjeh was a threat to himself or others. Ganjeh is being held at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.

An autopsy will be conducted Monday morning.

The Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office and the state police are assisting in the investigation.
