WASHINGTON _ Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, facing federal investigations into his travel, political activity and potential conflicts of interest, will be leaving the administration at year’s end, President Donald Trump said Saturday. In his resignation letter, obtained by The Associated Press, Zinke said “vicious and politically motivated attacks” against him had “created an unfortunate distraction” in fulfilling the agency’s mission. IDAHO NATIONAL LABORATORY, Idaho _ A nuclear test reactor that can melt uranium fuel rods in seconds is running again after a nearly quarter-century shutdown as U.S. officials try to revamp a fading nuclear power industry with safer fuel designs and a new generation of power plants. YELLOWSTONE WINTER _ Select roads in Yellowstone National Park have opened to the public for motorized oversnow travel. Visitors on Saturday morning were able to travel the park’s interior roads on commercially-guided snowmobiles and snowcoaches from the West and South Entrances.
