County to consider raising erosion control fees
The Mason County Board of Commissioners will consider raising the fees for soil erosion and sedimentation control as a part of its meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Mason County Courthouse.
In the pre-meeting notes, it stated the fees for those areas were increased in 2017 for the first time in 25 years, and that the fee schedule would be revisited in the future.
According to the fee schedule, the fees for a new home would increase from $100 to $150 for a new home; $50 to $100 for a new garage; and $50 to $75 for a new seawall.
